APPOINTMENT: Renaud BOUAT becomes director of the Metarom Group’s French subsidiary

May 2024, Boves (80) - Research & Development Manager at Metarom France since 2016, Renaud Bouat has been appointed Subsidiary Director. He succeeds Céline Hocquet, head of the company since March 2012, who has left to become an independent coach. Founded in 1953, Metarom France is a company that specializes in the creation, manufacture and distribution of flavoring solutions and caramels for the food industry.

From trainee to Subsidiary Director

Renaud Bouat graduated from the University of Tours with a Master’s degree in “Sensory, Innovation, and Quality”, and discovered and developed a passion for the flavoring industry during his first professional experience at Kerry (formerly Degussa F&F) in Grasse. He began his career at Metarom in 2006 as an R&D intern working on flavoring emulsions.

He then became Caramel Development Engineer, before being promoted to Head of the Caramel Business Unit. This position gave him the opportunity to develop both his sales skills, by managing customer accounts in France, and his R&D skills. He supervised the dedicated team, technical support and sales in Europe.

Renaud Bouat rose through the ranks to become R&D Manager of Metarom France in 2016. In May 2024, he succeeded Céline Hocquet as Subsidiary Director.
